We are working hard to increase our customer base and our market share while always trying to keep happy the clients that we already have.well their performance. Therefore we cannot be complacent and just say that we are the closest port in terms of distance. It is necessary that we and others in the Corridor also strive to work as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible. There is always room for improvement and we continuously work to make this a reality.Entities such as Customs have in the past made changes in their system that that affected the costs of cargo clearance and the traffic flows in the port due to inspection measures and problems with railway access to the Port have persisted for a long time. Issues such as these affect the competitiveness of the Corridor because the Port does not function in isolation. The marine side operations need to function at the level of performance the Corridor requires and on the land side institutions should strive to facilitate international trade as much as possible without losing sight of their regulatory obligations. However, we already are in a good position and want to grow further. We are always in contact with our clients and visit existing and prospective customers and stakeholders in the region, in Mozambique but also across Malawi, Zimbabwe, Zambia and the DRC. We are working hard to increase our customer base and our market share while always trying to keep happy the clients that we already have.We know that we are not the only gateway for our hinterland, and believe it is in the best interests of our customers to have options available. We will always do our best to try and find the best solutions and not only serve the interest of our clients, our shareholders and employees but also protect the interests of the government whom have given us the concession and also safeguard the interest of the general society for whom the Port plays an important role.
