Todos os colaboradores tiveram a oportunidade de serem totalmente vacinados.Any staff with existing health issues and considered clinically vulnerable were sanctioned to stay at home on full pay, as were those who had difficult journeys to work that would have resulted in significant physical interaction with the general public. And those with office jobs that could be done effectively from home were allowed to do so. All staff were offered the opportunity to be fully vaccinated.MPDC even undertook a family support role, having food delivered to those that could not leave home to shop, and the port’s medical team made regular calls to vulnerable staff to check their wellbeing and to deliver pharmacy medicines.For those staff whose roles required them to be on- site, personal protective equipment (PPE) was sourced in sufficient quantities and COVID-testing solutions were available through a quick telephone call. Additionally, hand-sanitising facilities were set up around the port estate.A MPDC desempenhou ainda um papel de apoio à família, entregando comida a quem não podia sair de casa para fazer compras, e a equipa médica do porto telefonou regularmente aos colaboradores vulneráveis para verificar o seu bem-estar e entregar medicamentos.Para os colaboradores cujas funções exigiam que estivessem fisicamente presentes foram adquiridos equipamentos de protecção individual (EPI) em quantidade suficiente e soluções de testes COVID foram disponibilizadas por via de um rápido telefonema. Além disso,foram instalados mecanismos de higienização das mãos em redor das instalações do porto.The proactive attitude and the port’s genuine care for its people has generated significant trust in MPDC and its operations, from clients and the workforce alike.A atitude pró-activa e o cuidado genuíno do porto com as suas pessoas geraram uma confiança significativa na MPDC e nas suas operações, tanto por parte dos clientes como da força laboral.Post-pandemic, the focus is firmly on the future. With two new Liebherr mobile harbour cranes being added to the fleet, crane operator training has been stepped up. For the first time, all training is taking place on-port at the MPDC Training Centre. MPDC skilled instructors and high-tech simulators are expediting the process, ensuringPós-pandemia, o foco está firmemente no futuro.
